Besalú is one of the best-conserved Romanesque towns of Catalonia and one of the most attractive in Spain. Not in vain, in 1966 it was declared a National Historic-Artistic Monument for its great architectural value. A stroll around its medieval streets enables one, among other things, to discover the secrets that the old county capital conceals.
